I Know, You Know, I Know, You’re Ballin’
Zaddy…wow. Ty Dolla $ign, you’ve done it again. While definitely not the best song by a wide margin in $’s (pronounced “Dolla’s) discography, “Zaddy” holds a special place in my heart for it’s sheer stupidity.
So what the heck does the term even mean?
So basically a “Zaddy” is a new age sugar daddy, except that he is way fresher than that lame, old, sugar daddy you’ve been hanging out with. Also, apparently Rob Kardashian has been referred to as “Zaddy” from his fiance. Which type of Zaddy is he, the sexy, swaggy type? Or do you think he fits primarily in the “I get money, money I got” category?
Zaddy Key Lyric:
In the intro, a woman calls $ (pronounced “Dolla Sign”) and says the following:
“Hmm, Zaddy, Zaddy! I saw these shoes down on Rodeo I really wanna get. You tryna go!?”
This intro speaks to old Tanny for some reason. Don’t you wish that a (presumably good looking) female would give you a call and casually suggest that you buy her an expensive pair of shoes?
No dinner, no movie, no pseudo-adventure to convince her that you’re cool. Just a date to the store to buy her a pair of shoes. Tanny’s no rocket scientist, but this scenario seems simple enough.
Alright, enough of these “words”. Go ahead and listen to “Zaddy” below. Be warned, the lyrics are of the adult nature and this should not be played with children around. The music video is overly artsy, for such a simple song, but what can you do?
