NO-AD SPF 45 Sunscreen…henceforth referred to as “BRO-AD” has long been a staple in the sunscreen game. Like old Tanny, you might have always thought of BRO-AD as a cheap alternative to other higher quality sunscreen products. Maybe you’ve purchased the BRO-AD to cover a mass quantity of humans and saved the good sunscreen for yourself? I mean, it’s hard out here in these streets. Everyone’s gotta take an L at some point, and compromise is just part of the sunscreen game. While we all wish we could afford Neutrogena all the time, sometimes you just need a sunscreen to “Get R Done” as Larry the Cable Guy famously said. Fortunately, NO-AD is the sunscreen famous for “Get(ting) R Done.” However, as Old Tanny discovered to his pleasant surprise, NO-AD has become so much more. No longer will I think of NO-AD as the budget conscious option, chosen simply to protect my bank account. In fact, the NO-AD SPF 45, get’s 4/4 tan thumbs up for it’s great protection, above average scent, ease of application, and affordability.

NO-AD SPF 45 Sunscreen Detailed Review:
Protection (4/4): NO-AD SPF 45 Sunscreen provides broad spectrum protection against UVA & UVB rays. With 80 minutes of water resistance, NO-AD also makes a great choice for water-sports enthusiasts. According to NO-AD’s website: “NO-AD has been picked four times, including in 2015, as a “Best Buy” for its exceptional value and once as a “Recommended” sunscreen for its superior protection…in 2016 NO-AD is also the first mass sun care brand to go completely Paraben-Free and Retinyl Palmitate-Free.”
Application (3/4): The NO-AD SPF 45 Sunscreen immediately greeted me with a great scent, on par with sunscreen heavyweights like Hawaiian Tropic & Ocean Potion. I don’t recall NO-AD having any sort of sent in the past, so once again, this was a pleasant surprise. Old Tanny doesn’t use cologne, but if he did, it would smell like the NO-AD. The ladies can’t ignore a responsibly tan, budget minded bro. At least that’s what my mommy told me! Affordable and effective, that’s the Mangino way. In addition to the scent, the NO-AD was non-greasy and applied very evenly across the skin. It doesn’t receive 4/4 Tan Thumbs simply because it’s not quite as good as the gold standard set by Neutrogena.
Affordability (5/4) Whoa! Did Tanny just give something a 120% rating!!! OMG! Affordability is where NO-AD dominates the competition. A 16 ounce bottle for about $8.50. That’s a steal. A 2 pack for under $20, still a value. You could create a responsibly tan army with that sort of coverage. NO-AD has stuck to their vision, and if there’s anything that Tanny appreciates, it’s dedication.
