Local Natives & Tan Hipsters

Local Natives, a staple for tan hipsters

“Watch Me Ride this Fixed Gear Bike…Shirtless”

Can there even be such a thing as a “tan hipster?”  Well, yes, yes there can be.  Have you ever visited Southern California?  There’s a veritable army of tan hipsters out there.

So what might this “tan hipster” army be listening to?  Probably a lot of things, but I’m guessing the band Local Natives will be on their super-cool playlist somewhere.  While Tanny might not fancy himself a hipster, he likes him some indie rock as much as the next guy.  As far as indie rock goes, these guys are some of the best in game, and also one of Tanny’s favorite bands of all time.  They’re also getting ready to release a new album on September 9th, 2016.

So put on your tightest pair of jeans, or maybe even a fedora, and check out one of their new singles, “Past Lives” below on YouTube.

Now if that song didn’t make you want to take your shirt off and play a game of chess in a public area, maybe this song will.

Gosh, that one didn’t inspire you have a responsible tanning friendly picnic in Brooklyn?  Let’s try this one more time.  With this track, you’ll be sipping on a refreshing, obscure cocktail, discussing your latest artistic endeavor in no time.

Remember, Tan Responsibly my friends.

Sincerely,

Tanny Mangino
