R&B and Turn-Up Trap, The Perfect Combo
Every now and again, old Tanny likes to put on a little music for that special, naturally-tanned lady in his life. Sometimes Tanny wants to turn-up with a popular R&B artist that isn’t known for domestic violence (I see you Chris Breezy). No matter the situation, Bryson Tiller delivers.
Tiller is known for his distinctive brand of music, known as TRAP SOUL. Like Fetty Wap, but with actual talent and a decent voice (oh wait, that’s the opposite of Fetty Wap!), Bryson Tiller has become increasing popular over the past few years due to his range.
Bryson Tiller – The R&B Side
So check out a few of his hits below, and I promise we’ll get to the Street Fighter part soon. Besides, “Exchange” which is below, you should definitely check out “Don’t” and “Been That Way” if you’re in an R&B mood.
A.K.A. “Pen Griffey” – The Trap Side
Tiller seamlessly transitions to turn-up trap music in a few songs on his debut record. He tends to call himself “Pen Griffey” frequently on these tracks. This alter ego pays respect to all-time great baseball player, “Ken Griffey” who is from Louisville, Kentucky, just like Tiller. On the song “Sorry Not Sorry”, he flips the music from the video game “Street Fighter 2″ to create an instantly memorable track.
The beat made me wonder…”Which character from Street Fighter 2 had the best tan?”
Let’s take a look and find out.
While I can’t say for certain who has the best tan without seeing each one in person, I can tell you which characters have the worst tans.
- Blanca (the green dude) – obviously a tanning bed addict. He’s been to the tanning bed so much, his skin has turned green. The hair product he’s been using has mutated and that auburn, all-natural hair color he was going for transformed into a hideous orange. Shame on you Blanca.
- M. Bison (bottom right, orange eyes) – I mean, what says “bad spray tan” more than orange, glowing eyes? M. Bison, we know you’re evil, but you don’t need to drag the sacred practice of tanning in the dirt with your bad name!
Check out “Sorry Not Sorry” below:
Until next time, tan responsibly.
Sincerely,
