Duffle Bag Forever!
2 Chainz and an album inspired by the Karate Kid…wow. So how does 2 Chainz, a 39 year old man who will probably make more money than any of us will ever make in our lives, get away with a project titled “Daniel Son; Necklace Don”? Well I have no idea, but it’s one of life’s great mysteries that brings a smile to old Tanny’s extremely tan lips. Probably greater than Stonehenge and the Pyramids in my opinion.
In the song “Big Amount”, both 2 Chainz and Drake theorize on how they have said “big amounts.” The question is, what do they have such a “big amount” of?
Tanny is going to go ahead and guess that both rappers are talking about money, however, there are other things that they have “big amounts” of.
Things besides money that Drake & 2 Chainz have a “Big Amount” of:
- Haters
- Premium Tracksuits
- Jewelry
- Ladies
- Respect in Atlanta (The A-T-L)
- Homies
- Cars
- Dufflebags (see Playaz Circle classic, “Duffle Bag Boy”)

One other item I had to note in this post was, wowzers, rapper tracksuits are really expensive! Can the cotton of a Gucci or Versace tracksuit really be that much softer than Hanes? Just doing a quick search revealed prices of $300-$500 for just a pair of sweatpants. Oh my lord! Tanny will stick with Hanes, or maybe Old Navy.
Whoa! Look at Drake wearing a $2,000 tracksuit!
Who wore it better? I think Diddy!
One final note I had to reference was from HipHopDX, a rap aficionado website that had this to say:
“The main positive takeaway from Daniel Son; Necklace Don is that 2 Chainz might be the first rapper to successfully use a semicolon in an album title.”
True.
When it’s all said and done, Tanny thinks he has a big amount of something too, and that something is an all-natural, glorious, golden-brown tan 🙂
