Sun Bum SPF 30 Face Stick Sunscreen Review

Sun Bum SPF 30 Face Stick Sunscreen Quick Review:

Do you consider your face, your “money maker?”  Your “bread and butter?”  The reason the ladies/gentlemen may want to “shake-their-tailfeather” for you?  If any of the statements above apply, or even if they don’t, you should be concerned about maintaining the beauty of that handsome mug of yours.  Enter the Sun Bum SPF 30 Face Stick Sunscreen.

Like any good investment, you want to protect your prized asset.  In this case, it’s your face.  To protect the skin on your face from dangerous sun burns and premature aging, look no further than the Sun Bum SPF 30 Face Stick Sunscreen.  As is the case with most face sticks, the waxy texture of the stick will make you feel like you’re applying grease directly to your face.  However, this feeling is natural and means that the sunscreen will provide lasting, water-resistant protection from the sun’s harmful rays.  Overall, the Sun Bum SPF 30 Face Stick Sunscreen receives three out of four tan thumbs up for it’s excellent scent and lasting protection.

Sun Bum SPF 30 Face Stick Sunscreen Detailed Review:

Protection (4/4):  The Sun Bum SPF 30 Face Stick provides solid UVA/UVB sun protection for your face.  The stick is pretty waxy, but sticks to your skin for a long time.  The Sun Bum Face Stick provides excellent protection, particularly if you’re sweating or in and out of the water.  Tanny went for a run using the face stick and never received the unpleasant sting in his eyes that happens when sunscreen mixes with sweat.  We’ll just call that a win!

Application (4/4):  Application is where the Sun Bum SPF 30 Face Stick shines…literally!  It will leave a greasy sheen to your face, however the coconut smell is so great, you won’t even notice.  Invite people to smell this sunscreen face stick, and you just might make a few new friends.  Nothing says a good time like a Piña Colada!

Affordability (2/4):  Alas, all that glitters is not gold.  While the face stick is great overall, at ~$10, it is a bit expensive.  If I can purchase a meal, including a drink, from a fast-casual restaurant for less than it takes to purchase 0.45 ounces of your sunscreen, then you may want to consider charging less.  While the Kiss My Face sunscreen face stick may not be as good as the Sun Bum face stick, for less than $6, it may be a better fit for your budget.

  • Hey Tanny,

What SPF do you recommend for Orlando City supporters to cover up their
red from embarrassment when Atlanta United conquers them tonight?

    :-)

    • Tanny recommends a strong SPF 50, preferably with Zinc Oxide to mask the shame that was felt when losing to Atlanta United . Major League Soccer is a fickle sport, so hopefully ATL United will have more than a minute in the sunshine after their win.
