You didn’t think old Tanny knew himself a little Shakespeare, did ye!? Well Tanny does know a little Shakespeare, and he also knows a we bit about branding too. For what is a name, especially for a product, but branding? In the case of Neutrogena, they must have some whizzes working in their marketing department because I swear they have a catchy name for almost everything.
Come on, what the heck does “MICROMESH™ Technology” really even mean!?
The literal translation would probably be something like, “good protection overall, but hard to rub in, and kind of expensive.” Hey, maybe it’s not that catchy, but Tanny likes to call ‘em how he sees ‘em. Maybe Neutrogena needs a straight-shooter like old Tanny in their marketing department?

Neutrogena CoolDry Sport SPF 70 Detailed Review:
Protection (4/5)
Neutrogena CoolDry Sport SPF 70 sunscreen offers good broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection overall. The tan team leads an active existence, and the Neutrogena CoolDry didn’t disappoint. Whether at the beach, pool, or just playing sports, this sunscreen stood up to the elements and lasted through activities that involved sweat and time in the water. As with any sunscreen, it’s best to reapply after excessive sweating or time in the water, but the Neutrogena CoolDry sport stuck to old Tanny’s skin like white on rice.

While the Neutrogena CoolDry Sport SPF 70 sunscreen is a competent sunscreen overall, it fails to live up to the application standard set by it’s cooler sunscreen brother, the Neutrogena Clear Face in terms of overall excellence. I wouldn’t go as far as to calling it “paint-like” but it does require a fair amount of effort to rub in. Unfortunately, the lotion variant leaves a white film on your skin similar to some cheaper sunscreens.
Affordability (2/5)
At around $8.50 for a 5 ounce bottle, Neutrogena CoolDry Sport SPF 70 is fairly expensive. It’s Neutrogena though, so what did you expect? There are many alternative sunscreens that will give you a lot more bang for your buck at this price point. So save the expensive sunscreen for protecting your most precious asset, your face, and buy a cheaper bulk sunscreen option to cover your body.
I’ll leave you with this thought. Many historians now believe that ‘Romeo & Juliet’ was not about the love the main protagonists had for one another, but was truly about Romeo and Juliets’ shared love for all-natural tanning. With that being said, do you think that maybe Shakespeare knew a little something about old Tanny too?
